   This slip to be filled up by the Clergyman and returned to the Issuer of Marriage
Licenses when the Marriage is celebrated by License.
   When the Marriage is by proclamation of Banns, the Clergyman may either return it when filled up to the nearest Deputy Registrar, or if more convenient, he may mail it in an unsealed envelope to the Secretary of Statistics, Halifax, who will transmit
him by return mail his legal fee of 25 cents for each slip.
     Clergymen will be particular in no case to neglect sending in this slip within ten
days after performance of marriage ceremony.

Special Note:  The name above for Bella's (Isabell) McDonald's mother appears to be inaccurate compared to census & church records with her name.  In all the other records I have seen, her mother's name is Mary Ann  Morris, not Morrison. This Marriage Slip was obtained from PANS RG 32 Series M. Vol. 73-74, Marriage Licenses Colchester County, 1876, no. 128, mfm. 16063. Also, on the information provided above, it is all typed exactly as written on the Marriage Slip, they are not my typos <smile>.
