Often times not everyone hears the latest news in the family,
so I hope to be able to add things to this area so anyone visiting will be aware of the
good and sometimes not so good things happening. At least then we will all be aware
of family happenings!
GREAT NEWS!! I
received an Email (Sep '99) note from our cousin Lou Smith, with info on some Borgman
names on Ship Lucilla. As it turns out, after viewing the passenger list, it is my
GG-Grandfather, John Garrett Henry Borgman, his wife Lucy Margaret Deaker (Dieker) and
family. To view the information go to the Immigration & Naturalization file drawer on
the main page, OR
Margaret (Girlie) Heffernan: On March 28th our Aunt Girlie passed away in Georgeville, Nova Scotia, Canada. Our heartfelt sympathies to all her loved ones and family.
Catherine (Dineen) Greaser: For those that didn't know it, my mother was recently hospitalized and was in ICU for a bad case of pneumonia just before Easter. They let her go home the day before Easter, so she was able to help celebrate Teres's birthday. Teres had gone home to visit with my Mom while she was in the hospital. Our Mom is doing fine, she's still on oxygen at home, for the latest update on her at any time, just Email Pat at: montana@ccnn.net
Larine Michelle Greaser: My daughter was involved in a bad accident this week, luckily she is fine other than several bruises and lots of sore muscles. We are VERY fortunate that she wasn't hurt more seriously, you will understand when you see the photos of my Buick...it did NOT survive the accident <sigh>.
Susanne (Ducharme) Wright: Susanne had a heart attack just recently, and she had another one last week (4/23) I was told. She is doing much better and is due back home 4/29. Big Huggs to Susanne and her family!!
Melissa Wheeler: My sister Kathleen's daughter was also in an accident this week (4/24) when a deer came out in front of her car. She too seems to be doing fine, but the car isn't....<s>.
For those that don't know it, they now have protection devices for vehicles that attach to your bumper and work off the airflow. This causes a whistling sound that causes deer and other animals to avoid your path. If you belong to State Farm, I heard they were giving them away free to their customers.
Ricky Wheeler, Larine Greaser & Jana Greaser: They are all graduating in a few weeks. To see their information and send them a congratulatory note, please visit my Family Jewels drawer, that's where I have their information tucked away!! Larine's senior photos are now in there, and also in the Family Photo Album.
I have added a Guestbook on my Dad's LST 996 website. To visit it, go in the Military drawer and then click on LST 996 in his Military information, or click HERE. The Guestbook is at the bottom of the page. And, please don't forget to sign the one above my filing cabinet here!
For immediate family members, my Mom's friend, Helen Reynolds, lost her husband Ernie last Saturday (4/25) after a long illness. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to their family. My Dad's good friends' wife, Julia Olscamp, had a heart attack this past Wed (4/29). Our thoughts and prayers to their family. On Sunday (5/3) she will be transferred up to Buffalo General for further tests.
In the "Family Stories & History" area, I finally uploaded info on Joe (Lared) & I, hopefully later this weekend we can put some of our wedding photos in there with it. And, check out the Family Music drawer, I finally got all the stuff put in there! Even some songs for kids.
