Her birth record (Preston County Births 1885-1895 Courthouse Records) lists
her birth on 2 Jan 1887, born in Preston County to Frederick Barlow & S. J.
Barlow. Alma worked at the Brogman Coalmine Store for years according to my
Dad (Martin Greaser), also her & his Uncle Ben Greaser dated for about 20yrs
but never married. I have a pictured dated Abt Aug 1915 with Alma & her
family in there, possibly my G-Uncle Ben as well. Never married...

On handwritten sheet from her daughter Catherine Dineen,it listed her death as
28 Jan 1984. She came to Boston about 1915 & worked for Dr.Forthingham who was
at Peter Brent Brigham Hosp. She cared for his 3 children. Was married at St.
Cecelia's Church, back Bay Boston, MA (possibly 29 Apr 1920). Per the SSDI,
it lists her birthyear as 1894. Dates are from Church records, her sponsors
were: Stephen Gillis & Mary G. Hanahan. Arrest due to systemic sepsis & more

Info from Preston County Courthouse Birth Records. Parents residence was
listed as Kingwood District. Appears to be twins born, James Sylvester /
Benedict. Per conversation with MCB, they were not twins... mother died and
3 kids died of diptheria, Catharine Wesling became a wet nurse for this baby
and had a baby of her own (I assume Benedict), so she fed them both and later
married John J. Gocke.
