Info from the 1871 Census for Antigonish County, Cape George (27.09.97) p38-39
family 106. Since Angus was not on the 1881 census, it's presumed he died
sometime between 1871 & 1881. His son John Angus was listed as head of
household with this mother Catherine living there.Info also from D.J. Rankin's
book, History of Antigonish Co, NS, pp.139-140, under Gillis of Morar section.

Listed as age 20 on the 1880 census. He might be the same John Rickelman as
the one on the 1860/1870 Census who was 7yrs old and living with John G.H.
Borgman & Mary E. Borgman... I suspect maybe he was related to them in some
way... it might be possible that his mother died in Childbirth with Clara
about 1869 so maybe since he was so little & motherless he lived with them
for awhile to be raised....? Just a theory .
