calculated from his age listed in the Census Records for 1880, Preston
County, FHC #0827556. Possibly enlisted during Civil War, there is a Michael
Lynch in Capt. Samuel B. Crane's Company C of the Taylor Co., 25th Militia
of the Taylor Co. 25th Militia, WV State Troops that was enrolled at Kingwood
Preston Co., WV from compiled rolls dated 5 Aug. 1864 (date of enrollment)
to 7 Oct. 1864. Dates are from grave marker, I have a photo of.

Info from Susan Gardiner in Email on 12 Aug '99. Per the 1850 Census for
Preston County, VA (now WV), Catharine appeared to be 45 years old? In the
1800 census, his wife's name was Margaret, age 75. Not sure if he remarried
at some point, or if his wife's name should be Catharine Margaret...?? On
tombstone, his wife is listed as Anna M. I have a photo of their tombstone.
