12/14/44   Alfred A. Hunter and 1/3 new crew went aboard LST 996 from
                 Camp Bradford, VA
12/15/44   Underway for New Orleans, LA. Steaming along East Coast
                 heading South
12/23/44   Steaming in Convoy up the Mississippi River with a Pilot
                 aboard and anchored in the Mississippi River off Bell Chase Naval
                 Ammo Depot. Unloaded all ammo and proceeded to New Orleans, LA
12/24/44   Moored portside to dock,Inner Harbor Navigational Channel,
                 New Orleans, LA, then underway for Florida Ave. Wharf and
                 unloaded LCT 604. Later down the Mississippi River and
                 underway for Mobile, AL
12/25/44   Standing into Mobile Alabama Channel and moored to ammo dock at
                 Deer Point, AL. Unloaded all 20 and 40 mm ammo.  Then underway
                 down the Mississippi River. Had to use ship's bell because of fog, radar
                 was out. The Captain,Officers and Crewmen left Ship for 30 day leave
12/28/44   Docked & received service from Pier, Water, Electric, etc.

Now Assigned to Division 211 Group 106 Flotilla 36, Atlantic

1/01/45    Receiving Dock Service in Mobile, AL
1/10/45    LCVP was transferred to Alabama Dry Dock
1/12/45    Entered U.S. Naval Yard, in Floating Dock #17 with Dock Service
1/21/45    Received LCVP from dry dock. Fueled LST & commenced loading ammo
                 aboard from Depot in Mobile, AL
1/22/45    Underway for New Orleans, LA
1/23/45    Entering Mississippi River and anchored off Belle Chase Naval Ammo
                 Depot, then moored to Depot and unloaded. Underway for New Orleans,
                 LA. Moored in Algiers Navy Yard. Captain Leach returned to after his
                 30 day leave. He was now married!
1/24/45    Entered Navigational Canal Lock to Pendleton Shipyard
1/31/45    Underway to Berth at Naval Supply Depot, New Orleans, LA

2/01/45    Underway for Florida Ave. Wharf, then dropped anchor and loaded
                 LCT 604 on Main Deck
2/02/45    Underway to Pendleton Shipyard
2/03/45    Underway for Quaranting Anchorage
2/05/45    Moored at Naval Supply Depot, LCT 604 Crew came aboard. Then on
                 to New Orleans, LA to load ammo
2/06/45    Underway to Gulfport, MS. Took on fuel, fresh water and supplies
2/09/45    Underway for Cristoble Panama Canal Zone
2/15/45    Anchored in Limon Bay, Cristoble Panama Canal Zone
2/17/45    Underway for entrance to Canal Channel. Gatum Locks, Pedro Miguel
                 Locks & Mirafores Locks,bound for SanDiego,CA
3/01/45    Steaming in Convoy from Coco Solo Panama Canal Zone to San Diego
                 CA, and entered San Diego Harbor
