Welcome to our Homesite

We dont really have a dog right now, but I heard theyre good at watching out for trespassers, so we added one to our "virtual home" <chuckle>. The best part is, you dont have to feed or water this one, Hahahaaa.
I started doing genealogy back around 1990, then it took a long hiatus. I dusted my old files off and began again in the Fall of 1997. It just seemed life got to busy, I was a single parent at the time and running my daughter Larine all over to soccer practices, games, and tournaments. Then when things got quiet again, I met Joe (Lared) on a local Bulletin Board System (BBS). Our friendship turned romantic, and somehow he convinced me to marry him. So now things have slowed down once again, and I felt it was time to dust off my family files and get busy with it. Luckily, during my hiatus the Internet has expanded immensely, and there are Genweb sites all over which gave me a LOT this of valuable information, but the greatest part is that it brought me closer to relatives that I didnt even know existed until now! You can even visit with them too by taking a "Family Excursion"...they are just down the Highway <smile>.
I hope you enjoy your visit with us. Youll find me in the kitchen if you want to socialize, Joe of course will be in his office tinkering with our Homesite or Palace, and as for Larine, well...she might be on the phone, up in her room or off at college, who knows!

The way our main entrance is divided up is like a filing cabinet...what better way to store our Family Genealogy and treasures! If you want the scoop on us, just open whatever drawer that grabs your attention. But, , you never know what ghosts or skeletons might jump out at you!! Also, in my "Family Jewels" area, I am trying to keep track of some special family events that are coming up, like graduations, births, my parents 50th Anniversary, as well as some pre-addressed envelopes so you can mail a note to other relatives while here. If you are related and have a net address, please be sure to let me know before you wander off. |
My intention here is to make my Homesite sort of a "Family Hub" so you can visit with others, or you can leave photos, bios, or stories here for others to see. Another cousin (Tim Syrews in West Virginia) and I just reconnected. I havent seen him for close to 30 years, but he was kind enough to send me some photos & let me share them with you in our Family Photo Album. I hope at some point to add a "chat" area...so occasionally folks can sit around "chewing the fat" as my Dad would say. Maybe we can all share some family stories, recipes or just catch up on time lost while sitting around our table <smirk>.
Have fun visiting, and watch your step around here there is still a lot of construction on-going. If you have any suggestions, just drop them in the box below! And, if you are interested in putting together your own Family Genealogy, be sure to stop by my Forum area (the last drawer) so you can get some pointers on where to begin, or how to use the Internet to its fullest!
And remember, this data will change OFTEN as I find new little trinkets to put in the file cabinet, so please stop by as often as youd like!!
Please remember to sign our Guestbook before leaving, it lets you leave your Email address in case anyone else wants to get a hold of you, or you can leave some nice family stories behind.
